Terms & Conditions

1. Design and Tender

1.1 Initial Information Gathering
The design and quote process begins with an initial information gathering survey. This survey asks clients a series of critical questions and requests images that inspire them. This information helps us customize our design samples and tailor the face-to-face consultation to your specific needs.

1.2 Face-to-Face Design Consultation
Once we receive your survey responses, we will coordinate a face-to-face design consultation. This consultation typically lasts between one to three hours, depending on the space and complexity of the project.

1.3 Consultation Focus
During the consultation, our designer focuses on taking initial measurements and working through two key elements with you:

  • Layout: We will discuss the best use of space and provide recommendations for efficient layouts.

  • Material Selection: We will assist in selecting materials that suit your design vision, functional needs, and budget.

1.4 Design Package
After the consultation, our designer will prepare a design package for you. This package will include:

  • Multiple elevations (please note: 3D renderings are not included)

  • A detailed material specification document outlining all the selected materials for your project.

1.5 Design Changes and Redrafting
Design changes are generally limited to minor modifications. Any major changes that require significant redrafting will incur a redrafting fee. All design changes must be communicated within 14 days from the delivery of the design package. Requests made after this timeframe will incur a redesign fee.

1.6 Trade Inspection for Quotation
In order to coordinate a quote, a trade inspection may be necessary. Once you are satisfied with the design, we will schedule a suitable time for the trade inspection.

1.7 Quotation Timeline
Once the design is complete, we will coordinate a quote for the project. The quote may involve multiple trades and can take up to 14 days for smaller projects from the day of the trade inspection. For more involved projects, the timeline may be longer.

1.8 Referral Fee
Please note that if you choose to proceed with our recommended joiner or builder, Blue Tea Pty Ltd receives a referral fee for the recommendation.

2. Construction

2.1 Quote from Licensed Tradespeople
Blue Tea works with clients to provide quotes from licensed tradespeople to bring our designs to life. We collaborate with trusted, qualified professionals to ensure your project is completed to the highest standard.

2.2 Design and Tendering Fee
Our standard fee covers design and tendering services only. Project management is not included in this fee. If project management services are required, a separate fee will apply.

2.3 Project Management by Engaged Company
Once a building or joinery firm is selected, the management of the project will be handled by the company ultimately engaged to install your project. This could be a building or joinery firm sourced by us on your behalf.

2.4 Third-Party Professional Recommendations
Blue Tea can assist by recommending third-party professionals for various parts of the renovation process, including:

  • Architects or Drafters for CDC (Complying Development Certificate) and DA (Development Application) support

  • Engineers for tasks such as providing plans for the removal of walls or structural modifications

These professionals are not employed by Blue Tea, but we can help connect you with trusted experts to ensure your project runs smoothly.
