Two ways to start your project.
Most projects start with a designer at your home. Some begin with a phone call. Pick what suits you.
We come to you.
A designer comes to your home, anywhere on the Lower North Shore. We capture the brief, listen to how you use the space, and look at the room together. From there we shape the design.

Talk to a designer first. Tell us about the project, the property and what you're hoping to change. We'll work out together whether the next step is a home visit or a longer conversation.

The way we work.
Blue Tea is a tightly focused team of interior architects, interior designers and specialised kitchen designers. We care about details, beautiful form and function.
A project starts with a phone conversation, some desktop research and, most importantly, face-to-face time in your home. We listen to your individual needs, capture the brief, and explore the existing space. From there, we shape the design package, including multiple elevations and detailed material specifications.
Once the design is signed off, we arrange a building inspection and then provide a detailed quote for your renovation project.

Your questions, answered.
Do you design kitchens and bathrooms across the Lower North Shore?
In 2025, we opened our Cremorne office to support the growing number of projects we were taking on in the Lower North Shore. Since then, we've completed work throughout Mosman, Cremorne, Neutral Bay, Cammeray, Kirribilli, McMahons Point, Waverton, Wollstonecraft, Northbridge and the surrounding suburbs.
While kitchens and bathrooms are still at the heart of what we do, many of our projects naturally grow into larger home renovations. In 2025, more than 60% of our work included broader renovations such as changes to floor plans, laundries, wardrobes, flooring and the finishes that tie a home together.
How does the first meeting work?
We begin with a phone conversation to gain a brief understanding of your project. We provide a questionnaire with the main aim of capturing your aspirations — perhaps some images that inspire you. We also conduct desktop research, reviewing existing floor plans and current home photos. This ensures we arrive at the face-to-face consultation with a deeper understanding of your vision. We may even bring samples customised to your project.
The in-home consultation typically lasts two to three hours for an average space, such as a kitchen. During this time, we aim to achieve three things: we take measurements; we work through the layout; and we discuss your overall vision and detailed material selections. Drafting your space will take approximately 10 days from your initial meeting.
How long does a Blue Tea kitchen take?
Our aim is to produce a completed design package within 10 working days of the in-home consultation. If you choose to purchase your kitchen from us, we then produce production drawings after a detailed in-home measure by our Joinery team. From the sign-off on production drawings, an average kitchen takes about six weeks to manufacture and approximately five weeks to install in your home. You will be without a kitchen for a maximum of five weeks.
What does the 7-year warranty cover?
Our 7-year warranty applies to the kitchen we design and supply. It covers joinery, stone and hardware.
Do you design bathrooms?
Yes. Bathroom design is a big part of our offering, especially when we are doing a full home renovation. We do the plan, all the elevations and material selection — taking out the hard work of sourcing and making sure the space comes together elegantly.
I started my project with an architect — can Blue Tea pick up where they left off?
We absolutely can. We specialise in interior architecture, so anything internal — changes to floor plans, lighting plans, finishes, new kitchens, laundries, butler's pantries, walk-in closets, wardrobes — that's our expertise. We design, create elevations, provide detailed material recommendations, and support you through the execution phase of the renovations.
