Every Paddington project starts with a phone conversation and some early desktop work. The key step is face-to-face time in your terrace or home. We listen to your needs, capture the brief, and look at the existing space in person. The design package follows: elevations, detailed material specifications.
After you sign off the design, we arrange a building inspection and then provide a detailed quote for the renovation.

Are you familiar with Paddington terrace renovations?
Yes. A lot of the briefs we take on in Paddington are terrace renovations: compact footprints, protected character, modern function. Kitchens and bathrooms in those homes rely on careful joinery and a layout that suits how the space is actually lived in.
Kitchens and bathrooms are at the core of what we do; from there, projects often extend into the wider home. In 2025, more than 60% of our work included broader interior renovations.
How does the first meeting work?
We open with a phone conversation to understand the project. From there we send a questionnaire designed to capture your aspirations and any reference images you have. In parallel we do desktop research, working from existing floor plans and current photos. That means the in-home consultation starts with real context. We often bring samples chosen for the brief.
For a typical kitchen, the in-home consultation runs two to three hours. We use it to take measurements, work through the layout on site, and discuss the overall vision and material selection. From the initial meeting, drafting the space takes around 10 working days.
How long does a Blue Tea kitchen take?
We aim to have the completed design package back to you within 10 working days of the in-home consultation. If you choose to buy your Paddington kitchen through Blue Tea, our Joinery team does a detailed in-home measure, then production drawings. From sign-off, manufacture runs about six weeks and install about five weeks. You'll be without a kitchen for a maximum of five weeks.
What does the 7-year warranty cover?
Yes. The 7-year warranty applies to the kitchen we design and supply, covering joinery, stone and hardware.
Do you design bathrooms?
Yes. Bathroom design is a large part of what we do, especially on full home renovations. We produce the plan, all elevations and the material specification, taking sourcing off your plate and making sure the space works together.
I started my project with an architect. Can Blue Tea pick up where they left off?
We absolutely can. We specialise in interior architecture, anything internal is our expertise: changes to floor plans, lighting plans, finishes, new kitchens, laundries, butler's pantries, walk-in closets, wardrobes. We design, create elevations, provide detailed material recommendations, and support you through the execution phase of the renovations.
Our Paddington kitchen has a very tight footprint. Is that a problem?
No. Compact terrace footprints reward careful joinery and layout thinking, which sit at the core of what our team does. The goal is a kitchen that lives bigger than its floor area suggests.
