Our team is small and in-house: interior architects, interior designers and specialised kitchen designers. We're focused on the details, the form and the function.
A project kicks off with a phone conversation, some desktop research, and, crucially, time in your Bondi home or apartment. We listen to your needs, capture the brief, and look at the existing space. From that, we shape the design package, with multiple elevations and full material specifications.
After sign-off on the design, we arrange a building inspection. A detailed quote for the renovation follows.

Your questions, answered.
Do you work throughout Bondi, apartments as well as houses?
Yes. Bondi covers a broad mix and we take on both apartments and houses. The design process is the same. The difference is mostly in how installation and trades are coordinated with the building or strata.
Kitchens and bathrooms are at the core of what we do; from there, projects often extend into the wider home. In 2025, more than 60% of our work included broader interior renovations.
How does the first meeting work?
First step is a phone conversation, just enough for us to understand the project. Then a questionnaire, focused on capturing your aspirations and any images that inspire you. We do our own desktop research too, looking at existing floor plans and current photos of the space. By the time we arrive for the in-home meeting, we have real context, and often bring samples tailored to the brief.
An in-home meeting for a kitchen usually takes two to three hours. During that time we take measurements, walk through the layout, and discuss the overall vision and specific materials. From your initial meeting, drafting the space takes around 10 working days.
How long does a Blue Tea kitchen take?
Our target is a completed design package within 10 working days of the in-home meeting. If you decide to buy the kitchen from us, our Joinery team does a detailed on-site measure and produces production drawings. From sign-off, manufacture takes about six weeks and install about five weeks. You're without a kitchen for a maximum of five weeks.
What does the 7-year warranty cover?
We offer a 7-year warranty on the kitchen we design and supply. It covers joinery, stone and hardware.
Do you design bathrooms?
Yes. Bathrooms are a big part of our offering, especially inside a full home renovation. We produce the plan, all the elevations and the material selection, handling the hard work of sourcing so the space comes together cleanly.
I started my project with an architect. Can Blue Tea pick up where they left off?
We absolutely can. We specialise in interior architecture, anything internal is our expertise: changes to floor plans, lighting plans, finishes, new kitchens, laundries, butler's pantries, walk-in closets, wardrobes. We design, create elevations, provide detailed material recommendations, and support you through the execution phase of the renovations.
Our Bondi place is an apartment. How do you handle strata approvals?
A lot of our Bondi work sits in apartments, so strata expectations, plumbing runs and delivery access come up in the first conversation. The design process itself is the same as a house; the coordination just includes the building.
