Haptic Kitchen Design in Norway

This apartment in central Oslo has been transformed by the architectural firm Haptic. The owners purchased a loft above the apartment, the architects took advantage of this by putting in a structurally stunning staircase which is the main focal point of the space. The powder coated steel staircase looks like it is hanging midair and is met gracefully by carefully crafted storage joinery. The kitchen then becomes a backdrop to this beautiful space. The grey monotone cabinetry, wall and bench top provide a neutral but different background to the staircase. Completed with a touch of quirkiness by a fireplace which is built into the kitchen bench top. The space is neutral yet highly crafted and detailed.
